This is the fifty-first “SUPERBAD!”. This is Volume 51.
After all these years of working monthly on show after show, we are still extremely excited, giddy, and a wee bit silly each time. Well, this time ‘adrenalized’ is added, for we are in a super-celebrating mode! We bring you a superb line-up: an ubber unique headliner from far away land, and two local acts that are equally ultra fabulous. There is also our long awaited SUPERBAD Mix CDs (Free for the first 20 people) compiled by the mix-maestro DJ Super Suranta! Last but not least, there will be mucho bello little gifts for everyone, to commemorate this event, our 51st! 
So, come on down to Jaya Pub and join the celebration!

“SUPERBAD!” is a monthly independent live music event by The Secret Agents, held since 2008. Its venue is The Jaya Pub (the oldest music pub in town where, since 1975, it has maintained a good rep for its live music performances of various genres; mainly blues, jazz, and rock). “SUPERBAD!” showcases good independent local talents; from the freshly squeezed newbies, to those already known in the local music scene. It gives them a comfy space to perform for the music lovers of Jakarta and from the surrounding areas.

The Secret Agents’ new site

The Secret Agents had a blog account with Multiply, and since Multiply is gone, we have to move somewhere else. We are now with Weebly.

UPCOMING “SUPERBAD!” Vol. 51

We are still very very much delighted for succeeding in continuing this gig until now. Unfortunately, we have to be absent this month (May) due to the incredible number of things we have to do (our other stuff). But rest assure, “SUPERBAD!” Vol. 51 is very much on the beginning of next month, the 9th to be exact.

Details coming very soon, but here’s a peek at our promising line-up… One will be an ‘Experienced’ duo, and the other will be King Khan & BBQ Show! (we are still deciding on who will be the third one). Okidoki, so… You know where you HAVE to be on the 9th June at 8pm. You know you have to, right?

TERIMA KASIH & THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU, PARTICIPANTS AND AUDIENCE OF THE 50th “SUPERBAD!” LAST SUNDAY! It is such a pleasure for us both, to keep this thing of ours going throughout the years. It’s been the most pleasing, most exhilarating, most mind blowing, and a lot of times most fucking exhausting, roller coaster ride; that we keep wanting to get on as soon as the last one ended.
But it has never even remotely been possible, without the love and support from our dearest FRIENDS (the old & the new ones), FAMILY, and TALENTED LOCAL MUSICIANS! Here’s looking at you, kids. Cheers for the next 50, and the 50 more after!
The flyer for Vol. 50 features Pak Toto, our beloved bartender, whom has been serving drinks at “SUPERBAD!” since Jaya Pub became our permanent venue in 2009. Many of you regulars are probably wondering where he’s been the last two volumes. Well, sadly, he had to retire sooner than he would like to, because of his health and his age. He was very ill when he had to stop working, but he’s much better now. He’s been asking if he could work again, maybe in their ‘slow’ nights, but the management is concerned about his health. Who knows, maybe one of these nights we can catch him doing his thing behind the bar at Jaya Pub again… or not. Let’s just wish him all the best and hope he knows how he’s profoundly missed by us on “SUPERBAD!”

RRREC FEST: THE SHOWCASE!

Remember RRRecFest #2? The first time The Secret Agents collaborated with ruangrupa artists’ initiative in producing a music / art festival? It succeeded BIG time and thus will be organized again by the end of this year. Again, The Secret Agents will act as the curators, deciding which bands/musicians – films – artists – bazaar participants would be involved in the event. To entice and give a little of what to be expected in the big one, we decided to do a smaller type gig way before that, which is on the beginning of this month (April). The 7th, to be exact.
